The goal is to raise awareness among 5,000 MSMEs and ensure that 160 incorporate elements of circularity, with a focus on supporting 40 women-led businesses.
So far, the coalition has reached 1,874 SMEs in Lima, Arequipa, and Trujillo. To facilitate this transition, they have launched free tools. These include the “WhatsApp Micro Course on Circular Economy and Energy Efficiency for SMEs,” which provides basic training in less than an hour. There is also the “Circularity Calculator,” which assesses circular impact and offers practical recommendations.
Furthermore, the platform MiEmpresaCircular.pe provides specialized information to enhance SME capabilities in circularity. Musa, a Peruvian social enterprise, uses WhatsApp to offer accessible microlearning. Its 15-minute modules allow for flexible and personalized training. Additionally, they provide automatic certificates and track student progress.
