Musa stands out for its innovative micro-courses via WhatsApp, training over 3,000 users and being a finalist in the TPrize Challenge of Tec de Monterrey.
The Peruvian startup Musa has stood out as one of the ten finalists for the TPrize Challenge, an international educational innovation competition organized by Tec de Monterrey in Mexico. This recognition was awarded during the 8th International Congress on Educational Innovation in December 2021.
Musa has revolutionized training with its microlearning approach. Instead of offering lengthy workshops, it provides interactive microcourses accessible through WhatsApp. This method allows users to learn efficiently and personally, organizing their time with short videos and materials. Camila Haro, co-founder of Musa, points out that the success of the microcourses arises from their design, which focuses on reducing cognitive load and personalizing the user experience. In summary, this approach facilitates learning by avoiding information overload and addressing each student’s specific needs.
To date, Musa has trained over 3,000 users. For example, in March 2021, it launched a pilot with an agro-industrial company to train field workers in COVID-19 prevention. Additionally, Musa collaborated with the NGO Socios en Salud and the Ministry of Health to train more than 30,000 community agents in Peru.
These achievements highlight the positive impact Musa is making on education and training across Latin America.
